Window Washing…There are many small businesses with a store front that often pay a person with a small window washing business to wash their windows once or twice a week. I have seen small retailers in a shopping center location, pay a man or woman with a bucket, a sponge on a pole, and a squeegee, who would come around once or twice a week, and wash the windows in five minutes time, and collect $6, $8, or even $10.

All you need to start a great home based business that is a “service type” business is some energy and enthusiasm, a few business cards or flyers to get started, and then get out there and start “selling” yourself to some businesses!

Selling One Specific Item…You can find a high-impulse item, such as pepper sprays, which are something that most people need and want, but they are not sold everywhere that you turn. Maybe you can buy a few dozen at wholesale prices, and then get out there and peddle them at retail prices to everyone that you know or come in contact with. These trusty little self defense items are small and lightweight, thus easy to carry, and are not very expensive, and many people WILL buy one on impulse!

Washing Cars or Mowing Lawns…You have neighbors who are way too busy and do not have the time to wash their car or mow their lawn, and they might be willing to pay you to do it.

Making and Selling Crafts…Some guys enjoy woodworking and can make things like stools and storage chests, and there are women who are masters of making the finest greeting cards that you have ever seen. You can make things and sell them to folks in your town, or by using the internet you can reach the world!

Article Marketing Writer…This would be great if you have some writing ability! You can find people who just got their own website, but don’t really have the writing skills, and they will pay you to write articles for them. They will then re-post these articles on a website such as www.ArticlesBase.com which is where you may be reading this piece!
