If you want to do something fun with your family but you’ve run out of ideas, why not build a Cornhole set? Not everyone knows about Cornhole, but it’s a great game, and it’s something that everyone can play, regardless of age or activity level. The rules are easy to follow and the game itself is not in any way confusing or physically strenuous. The player simply stands a specific distance from the Cornhole board, and he or she tosses small cloth bags, one at a time, at a hole in that board. Some people also call this game the bean bag toss or the bean bag game. You might have played it in your elementary school physical education class. Your children probably did, too. And your parents might have, as well. If the tossed bags, which are gently weighted so that they can be thrown far enough, go through the hole they are worth points. Bags are also worth points if they land on the board and don’t go through the hole, as long as they don’t fall off.

Bags that fall off the board, or bags that miss the board entirely, don’t score any points. Players take turns, and the first person to twenty-one points wins the game. People can also play the Cornhole game in teams if they want to, and a lot of dedicated players also organize tournaments where people can play for cash and prizes. For most people, tournaments are not part of their game plan. They just want something that they can play with their family and enjoy. Some people even play it on their own and find it a very enjoyable one-person activity, similar to those people who get out a deck of cards and play solitaire. The Cornhole set – both bags and boards – can be bought online quite easily. A lot of people choose this route because they get their set fast. They can also choose from some different colors for their bags and they can get either a wooden or a plastic board. There are arguments as to which one of these materials is the best choice for the board. Mostly, it comes down to a matter of personal preference.

For people who want to make their own Cornhole set, they’ll need basic tools. They also need a few easy woodworking skills and they should be able to sew the bags. You don’t have to have a sewing machine, either. You can just sew the bags by hand. As for making the board, there are very easy instructions that you can get for free on the Internet. Just make sure you get them from a reputable place so that you’re happy with your Cornhole game. It will turn out right and the instructions won’t be so confusing if you take the time to make sure you’re getting good information. It’s not that difficult to make a Cornhole game, so you really shouldn’t have any trouble with it. Just take your time, let your family help you, and enjoy making your very own Cornhole game. It’s an experience now and a fun time for years to come.

How many different ways can you bind printed brochures? There are numerous ways you can bind manuals, books, calendars, guides, directories, catalogs, full colour brochures and all other printed products. Here are a few very basic guidelines:

Looseleaf – Printed sheets are loose and have holes drilled in them to put in a binder. Also known as spiral bound binding.

Tape Binding – Usually done on demand copy type where it is actually done in line and comes out of the machine finished. This simulates perfect binding but has no grind on the spine and the tape shows.

Side Stitching – Staples go through the front of the paper to the back but are stapled on the side of the sheet.

Saddle Stitching – Staples through the spine of the book stitch the pages. The pages have to be done in 4 page increments and there is a limitation to how many pages can be stitched. However you can usually staple up to 100 pages.

Perfect Binding – This is what you usually buy in a bookstore when you get a soft cover book. It gives you a square spine and the paper is actually ground on the spine and then glued to the cover. This can now be done both conventional and on demand.

Wiro Binding-A wire of loops is inserted through punched holes in the paper in loops. This binding will lay flat.

Spiral Binding-Metal as above but in circles going through punched holes.

Plasticoil Binding-Plastic loops are put through the punched holes.

Case Binding-These are hardback books like those you get in a bookstore. These can be scythe sewn, side sewn or adhesive bound.

These are the basic bindings that most printed products will be bound by.
