Article Source: ArticlesBase.com – Interesting Facts About Woodworking
If you experience severe pain even for just bending, turning, walking or other short motions, especially during morning you are most likely to be affected by rheumatoid arthritis. Joints affected by chronic infectious diseases or the neoplasm can also become too stiff and painful to carry out any movement. osteoarthritis is another major cause for joint stiffness.
Two training tips for efficient function of the lower extremities and minimal stress to the related joints and ligaments are 1) centering the weight at the femoral joints with pelvic stabilization and 2) originating the primary muscular control of the movement from the pelvis. When these two essentials are not followed; injuries to the knees and feet are more likely to occur.
The best conventional treatment for joint pain, such as osteo¬arthritis generally involves prescribed exercises to keep the joints flexible, encourage nourishment of the cartilage, and strengthen the surrounding tissues; joint protection, often based on the suggestions of a physical or occupational therapist, to limit further damage; and, when necessary, both drug and non drug measures to ease discomfort and decrease stiffness.
One of the best remedies is omega 3 fatty acids. You’ve probably heard how omega 3 fats are vital for brain and heart health — both of which are true. But did you know that omega-3 fatty acids “appear to reduce tender joint counts in individuals with rheumatoid arthritis and may reduce requirements for corticosteroids.”?
Fibrous joints lack synovium and synovial fluid. Bones in the joints are covered by cartilage which is an open spongy network of calcified collagen in a tough outer shell. The bone can withstand thrust forces as long as it is covered in cartilage, which distributes load evenly. Without cartilage, the spongy bone collapses easily. Bone is constantly remodeling in response to stresses
Omega 3 fatty acids, such as those found in high quality fish oils, act as anti-inflammatories which, as anyone with arthritis or stiffness knows, is often caused or worsened by inflammation of the joints.
Even though omega 3 fatty acids used for joint health derived from fish oils can be useful, there is another natural substance that has been proven to be much more beneficial.
Physical therapists work with you and show you how to perform exercises that will loosen the joints. They also know how to ensure that the exercises you are doing do not exacerbate any joint problems. After an injury to a joint a physical therapist is also recommended to help the patient recover and develop the strength and flexibility they need to get through everyday life.
Joint pain that is similar to that caused by rheumatoid arthritis can be caused by a number of other conditions. Among these are chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia and even bunions. Only a doctor can identify the cause accurately, as similar symptoms can result from other autoimmune-related conditions from other kinds of arthritis to serious conditions such as cancer.
Arthritis has a significant body-mind connection – between how rigidly you view yourself, your life and others and how your body manifests these rigid attitudes in pain and stiffness. Notice what happens as you develop a softer, more accepting opinion of yourself and others and cultivate a more positive outlook on life.
