How to build a concrete block shed/storage unit?
I am thinking of building a concrete block shed /storage unit instead of a timber shed as it would be cheaper to build and will be nearly maintenance free!!!
I am wondering should i use standard concrete blocks (4″) a end on end?
Or should i use cavity blocks??
Shed will be of a sloping roof kind not Apex as will reduce costs. walls will be rendered later on too.
would it be best to use roof tiles or corrugated roofing panels??

I have built a shed using hollow or cavity blocks. They are lighter and easier for the DIY man. Use a good quality with a smooth face so it may not be necessary to plaster, I used a groove point between the blocks instead of a flush finish.
Also, I matched the material on the roof of the shed with that on the main house.
